Corporate/commercial practice, including some international transactions. Also practices in employment law primarily for employers and high earning individuals. Undertakes wills and tax planning for high net worth individuals. Extensive experience of commercial and financial services litigation at all levels through to the House of Lords. Cases include several reported decisions with new points of law. Conducted complex financial claims and investigations against major financial institutions including banks, building societies insurance companies and regulatory authorities. Experience as leader and coordinator of multiparty litigation and claims involving a large number of claimants/respondents.
Background:
Early career (trainee to partner) at small/medium West End firm Gershon Young (now Finers Stephens Innocent). Latterly senior partner of Barnett Sampson, which he co-founded in 1984.
Outside CKFT:
Cycling (the longer the distance the better he enjoys it), skiing (ditto), soccer (watching) (Arsenal), trekking especially in remote mountain regions, travel, visual arts and music and his family.
