Commercial litigation, especially contractual and company disputes; also construction, property, and intellectual property litigation. A particular interest in entertainment and media with clients including theatres, film production companies, artists and arts venues. Employment law with a particular interest in restraint of trade issues. Corporate governance in company and contractual matters. A trustee of a number of charities and a regular conference speaker.
Background:
Masters degree researching the role of litigation in the newspaper industry; trained at an award-winning regional firm, becoming partner and Head of Litigation; joined CKFT as partner in 2003.
Outside CKFT:
Theatre (an experienced theatre board of management Trustee); music (including performing conducting and arranging); sport (particularly cricket and golf); fine food and wine; natural history; literature and film.
